A mind listener is one who listens to what the mind is saying without acting on it. This person watches the things that pass through his/her mind without judging them, thereby creating space and stillness in his/her life. Most of us are lost in words and thoughts, drowning in communication without truly communicating with the other person. We put more emphasis on talking than on listening (often it is centered around the word, “I” or “me” such as “I won the game”, or “I resent what he did to me”). We create this noisy world that is covered with negativity, sickness, resentment, sadness, rage, anger, etc. We put the past and future in our lives and forget about the present, which is always fresh and alive.
We can change our world right now by changing our reaction. As an experiment, try not to react to another person’s statement, praise or criticism. Just listen to what he/she is saying without any judgment. Watch the person and listen to the inner energy field of your body. Feel the air moving in and out of your body or the tingling in your hands. You are listening to your mind and to your body. You are not judging the other person but letting him/her be. You are giving him/her space, and the intelligence of the universe will then take charge and out of that, right action happens. The universe loves you and takes care of you. It is always working for you. But you have to free your mind so you can recognize this truth. You have to be a mind listener.
